Sara Bareilles Meets David and Asks Him To Sing With Her
According to my Very Reliable Source, David met Sara for the first time this weekend at the Family Gras ... in New Orleans...
David met Sara in her trailer, and when he emerged, he had an important question for his management: “Sara wants me to sing with her today; can I?” Well, unfortunately, due to contractual restrictions, the answer was no, but David was excited to have been asked!
It would have been so nice. Can't wait until it can happen.

True, rauha, would have been great publicity, not to mention, his dream come true. This might be a good topic for discussion!
David must have tasted this disappointment sharply because he has dreamed and spoken of her with such awe every possible chance he could get.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what "contractual restrictions" are all about but hopefully it can be ironed out for a future colloboration.
I agree, Joymus. Seems odd his people were okay with him singing Jason Mraz on radio but not live with SB ... so glad he got to meet her though, hope he blogs (or better yet, vlogs, about it!).
ReplyDeleteMaybe they will set something up for the future. It seems it is difficult for David to make a move (like going to the Senior Ball!) without management permission. I suppose his singing belongs to them (ugh!) but I wonder why they said no.

I don't remember where I read that. It might be nothing but rumor.

ReplyDeleteJust that I believe this duo is inevitable. He is such a fan and it is gratifying that she is a fan of his too. What a dream concert if these two bring their amazing voices together! And it would make him so happy. Message to Jive/Azoff: Don't make our baby sad. We here have no qualms about letting you know how we feel. just sayin....
That could be it, Betsy. Angelica, yes, what a dream concert or duet! I sorta wish she'd sprung it on him, called him up on stage ... sometimes better to ask for forgiveness than permission, as they say!
